Adapture Renewables, a leading developer and operator in utility-scale solar and energy storage projects, has recently secured a significant energy off-take agreement with a Fortune 50 company. This agreement pertains to a 67 MWp utility-scale solar facility located in Hunt County, Texas, with commercial operations set to begin later in 2024. The project aligns with the Fortune 50 company’s goal of achieving net-zero targets by powering its operations with renewable energy.

Details of the Off-take Agreement

The 67 MWp solar facility in Hunt County is projected to generate about 120 GWh of clean electricity annually, equivalent to powering 12,500 homes. This will be accomplished through a Virtual Power Purchase Agreement (VPPA). In addition to the environmental benefits, the project will create over one hundred and fifty jobs during its construction phase and contribute an estimated net positive economic impact exceeding $77 million to the community.

Jesse Tippett, Vice President of Origination at Adapture Renewables, expressed excitement about the agreement and its contribution to their expanding portfolio of long-term agreements with corporate energy buyers. Tippett emphasized the significance of such partnerships in advancing a cleaner and more reliable grid driven by cost-effective solar energy solutions.
