Vanguard Furniture has taken a significant step towards sustainable energy practices with the installation of two roof-mounted solar projects at its Frame Plant 2 facility in Conover, N.C. The collaboration between Vanguard Furniture and Pisgah Energy has resulted in a total of 438 solar panels generating over 267,400kWh of renewable energy annually for on-site consumption. This new addition brings Vanguard’s total solar panel count to 1,590 across three facilities, producing more than 929,000kWh each year. The impact of this expansion is substantial, offsetting 187 metric tons of carbon dioxide annually and saving the equivalent of over 1,500 barrels of oil.
