In the fiscal year 2024, Adani Energy Solutions Ltd. has significantly increased its share of renewable energy in bulk power purchases, soaring from 3% in FY21 to an impressive 34.51%. This substantial growth underscores Adani Group’s commitment to sustainable energy practices and reducing carbon emissions. Adani Electricity, as Mumbai’s leading power distribution company, aims to double its renewable energy procurement by 2027, targeting a remarkable 60% of its energy requirements from renewable sources.

Environmental Impact and Sustainability Efforts

Adani Green Energy Ltd. has made substantial strides in expanding its greenfield capacity, adding 2.8 gigawatts in the financial year 2023-24. This accounts for 15% of India’s total renewable energy capacity and has led to the avoidance of 15.64 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions. Additionally, Adani Green is on track to meet its electric vehicle commitment, achieving 12.21% against the targeted 65% by fiscal 2030.

In the fiscal year 2024, the company generated 3477 direct and indirect job opportunities and engaged 91% of its manufacturing suppliers under the CDP supply chain management program.
