TERREPOWER, the solar panel and EV battery lifecycle management division of BBB Industries, is partnering with Brighten Haiti, a non-profit organization dedicated to using solar energy to expand education, develop a sustainable economy, and help end poverty in Haiti. Brighten Haiti’s Solar4Schools initiative aims to bring solar energy to over 300 schools across rural Haiti, where less than 35% of schools have access to electricity. This initiative has the potential to impact more than 150,000 students, providing them with access to clean energy and educational opportunities.

TERREPOWER’s Commitment to Brighten Haiti

Kevin Keene, founder and president of Brighten Haiti, highlighted the critical need for electricity in Northern Haiti, where 90% of the population lives without access to electricity. TERREPOWER, along with its Ontility brand, is donating more than 4,900 solar panels to Brighten Haiti, with the first shipment of sustainably manufactured solar modules set to arrive by the end of the month. These solar panels will be used to power schools and train local workers on solar installation techniques, empowering communities and fostering sustainable development.

Empowering Communities Through Solar Energy

The partnership between TERREPOWER and Brighten Haiti represents a transformative opportunity to bring clean, renewable energy to underserved regions, creating a brighter future for thousands of students and community members. By providing access to solar energy, these initiatives not only address the immediate need for electricity but also contribute to long-term economic development, education, and poverty alleviation in Haiti.

Driving Positive Change Through Sustainable Solutions

Through initiatives like the Solar4Schools program, TERREPOWER and Brighten Haiti are demonstrating the power of sustainable solutions to drive positive change and empower communities. By harnessing the potential of solar energy, these organizations are not only brightening the lives of thousands of students but also paving the way for a more sustainable and prosperous future for Haiti.
